Over the course of 52 days this summer, Americans Miles Fullman, Sam Stuckey, and Brandon Adams had one of the most successful Baffin Island expeditions in recent memory.
Tanner Bauer, 20, has climbed V15, flashed V13, and done 5.14 on gear.
"[Change] was important to me because of the history," Megos said, "but also it represented overcoming the past."

For years, Sam Weir was one of Colorado’s most prolific boulderers, sending dozens of boulders graded V14 and V15 while also holding a full time job. When he moved to Europe, he largely dropped off social media. But he’s only gotten better.
The cruxes didn’t give Megos many problems, but the pump was real. He thinks 5.15b feels more accurate.
"A lot of people put so much emphasis on strength," Webb says, "[but] no matter how strong you are, if you can’t climb well on stone you’re not gonna get much done.”
