Zack DiCristino, PT, MSPT, OCS, SCS
USA Climbing National Team Physical Therapist and Medical Manager

Zack has been practicing sports physical therapy since 2003, and has been a climber for 25 years. He obtained his bachelors degree in Exercise Science at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill in 1998, and his Masters of Physical Therapy at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 2003. He is a board-certified orthopedic and sports specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association.

After starting his career at in Vail, CO, he later worked at Stanford University Athletics serving as the lead therapist for the Stanford Football and Cross Country/Track and Field Teams. He has been working with professional and recreational climbers since 2008 and with the USA Climbing youth and adult teams since 2016.

He currently serves as the USA Climbing National Team Lead Physical Therapist traveling with the team to international world-cup competitions and to the Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo and Paris. His role as the USAC Medical Manager involves collaborating with medical partners and the USOPC to provide healthcare services for national-team athletes,
serve as the liaison for the USA Climbing Medical Committee to address various topics focused on athlete wellness, injury surveillance research, mental health, sports psychology and diversity, inclusion and equity within the sport.

Zack is based in Salt Lake City, UT where the USA Climbing headquarters and national training center are located. When not working, you will find Zack on a climbing trip abroad.
